011- Effects

What effect does parent involvement in schools have on education?

Parent involvement effects students education in various ways for example; a parent involving themselves in every conference or any activities like, assemblies, sports or even tutoring helps nine times out of ten. With that kind of support students will more than likely succeed in school versus a student whose parent doesn’t have enough time on their hands to be involved and support that child the way they would like to. Another effect parent involvement may or may not have on adolescents in school is bad behavior but also, students could also be independent about their education due to their parents not supporting them. A final effect that I would like to add is, negative and abusive parents that don’t support their child in any form can be the outcome of students not even attending school regularly like they’re supposed to so that they can be successful in life. Consequently, that child will not prosper and their will or confidence shall wither away.

Parents involvement in their child’s education is important because ten times out of ten those adolescents may never dropout , get suspended , or fall behind in their education, the more the parent or parents stay involved the better results the adolescents will have to graduate and possibly go to college afterwards. It’s rare you will see a teenager or child fail in school while they’re parents are involved even if the parents aren’t available 24/7 to participate in schools activities as long as they keep having involvement on conferences, tutor help , and grade fluctuation. Those children will still have a better chance to graduate on time and be successful in school than those whose parents aren’t involved at all in their children’s education.

In some cases students whose parents aren’t involved still are successful in school because more than likely they have positive influences or parent like figures in school to help them be successful within school but that’s rare due to the fact that students without any positive parent influences aren’t really obedient to school authority and don’t even come to class. They get suspended and completely fall behind so therefore, more parents need to be more involved in their children’s education if they want a higher percentage of adolescents graduating on time out of middle school or high school. the effects the parents have are crucial to the education system and if more parents prioritize that more students would be successful in school in conclusion parents have to be present in the education system to successfully impact the students education.

In most cases for some, the parents force their children to drop out because of the circumstances at home some children have to help at home with they’re siblings due to one parent households where the main parent has to work nonstop to make ends meet and in some cases kids are being tortured at home by parents and they are forced to stay home. Furthermore, some kids are unfortunate to have great involving parents when it comes to their education and those kids fall so far behind in school they just never go back to further they’re education.

Lack of parent involvement with a students education can be a cause of that student losing focus on his or her studies, suspensions or in most cases drop outs may also be an effect to whether or not there is parental support in their education everyday there’s about 7000 studies to dropping out of school a day and about 25 percent of freshmen’s fail to graduate on time. I strongly believe if those kids parents was more involved those 25 percent of kids would’ve graduated in time.
